This presentation will introduce the main new features introduced into Workers 4.0, such as the new Workers Debug Server and the development of Workers applications on NI real-time targets such as a cRIO. A case study will also be given of how to create a Workers API that can be called from TestStand.
Hi, I’m Peter Scarfe, creator of Workers for LabVIEW and a LabVIEW Champion. I’ve been developing with LabVIEW for over 16 years, applying it across both academia and industry to build automation and data acquisition systems.
To solve recurring architectural challenges, I created Workers for LabVIEW, a framework that blends the simplicity of NI QMH development style with the power of LVOOP. It provides structure, tooling, and API abstractions to help developers focus on solutions, not fighting architectural complexity.
With Workers for LabVIEW, my goal is to empower LabVIEW developers with tools that reduce technical debt and make large-scale development easier, faster, and more sustainable.
I am the founder and owner of Kubes AG. Kubes main business is the building of automated testsystems to ensures the quality of our customers products, mostly in LabVIEW and TestStand. My first contact with LabVIEW was in 2006 and since then I am looking for ways to equate software engineering in LabVIEW with other programming languages.
I am a Certified LabVIEW and TestStand Architect (CLA, CTA) as well as a Certified Professional Instructor (CPI).
I enjoy helping people to do better quality either in software engineering or in the manufacturing of their products.
